Yesterday (28/05/2014), I went to Hatsune Miku Expo 2014 at Jakarta Covention Center Cendrawasih Room. I arrived there at 4 p.m. First, I redeemed my voucher with Miku’s ticket concert. The ticket was great and colorful. The concert was held on 7.30 p.m. So, I saw the exhibiton while waiting for the concert. The exhibition displayed Miku’s painting, music corner, and action figure. They also sold Miku’s action figure with special price. There were nail art, origami, and photobooth corner too. At the nail art corner, you can colour your nail with the same colour as Miku, Meiko, Rin, or Luka. You can also make Miku’s origami at origami corner and take photo with free Miku, Meiko, Kaito, Rin, Len, or Luka costume at the photobooth corner. Miku, Rin, Len, Luka, Kaito, and Meiko sang at the concert yesterday, their performance really amazing. I almost can’t tell the difference between the hologram animation and the real effects (firework, smoke, confetti). Both the concert and the audience really great. We dance and sing together throughout the concerts. Moreover, Miku speak Indonesia and sang one Indonesian song. That was amazing because Indonesian language is a language that has complex phonemes and syllabic.

Brief Overview of The Technology
Miku, Rin, Len, Luka, Kaito, and Meiko are the characters that use singing voice synthesizer product of Crypton Future Media, INC. Singing voice synthesizer also known as vocaloid. Singing is synthesize from lyrics and melody by a software. The software can change the stress of the pronunciations, add effects such as vibrato, or change the dynamics and tone of the voice. For the hologram, Miku use rear-screen projection onto a semi-transparent diffuse polymer surface, called a Dilad screen. Dilad screens contain microscopic bubbles, which scatters the light (this is the explanation I get from searching on Google. Here is the link
